1. Purpose and Scope
This document outlines Rumini Health Inc.’s complete legal, regulatory, and operational policies governing the collection, use, and protection of patient information; the delivery of tele-health and tele-pharmacy services; applicable fees, refunds, and cancellation conditions; and patient rights and obligations.
It applies to all users of Rumini’s platform, all clinical professionals and partner pharmacies, and all administrative or technical affiliates engaged in Rumini’s operations.
2. About Rumini
Rumini Health Inc. (“Rumini,” “we,” “our,” or “us”) is an Ontario-based virtual-care company that provides discreet, compliant, and secure access to licensed healthcare professionals and Ontario-registered pharmacies through a digital platform.
Rumini currently focuses on:
- Weight Loss Program – Evidence-based GLP-1 and metabolic therapies
- Men’s Health (Erectile Dysfunction) – Evaluation, prescription, and renewals
- Hair Loss (Alopecia Care) – Topical/oral treatment coordination
- Minor Ailments Program – Assessment and prescribing for provincially-approved conditions under O. Reg. 202/94 s. 29.1
- Future Expansion – Planned categories include women’s health, mental health, travel medicine, vaccination, and chronic-care programs, subject to Ontario regulation.
Rumini operates under Ontario’s Personal Health Information Protection Act (PHIPA), Canada’s Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA), and the professional standards of the CPSO, CNO, and OCP.
3. Definitions

4. Information Collection
4.1 Personal Information
Name, contact details, date of birth, address, identification (where required), medical history, medications, allergies, and payment information.
4.2 Technical Data
IP address, device and browser information, session metrics, and analytics cookies to improve performance.
4.3 Collection Purpose
To provide healthcare, verify identity, process payments, maintain compliance records, and enhance user experience.
5. Use and Disclosure
Your information is used to:
- Deliver consultations and treatment plans
- Coordinate prescriptions with licensed pharmacies
- Communicate about care and account status
- Conduct billing and record-keeping
- Fulfil legal obligations and audits
It may be shared only with:
- Licensed clinicians involved in your treatment
- Partner pharmacies and secure courier services
- Third-party vendors (e.g., payment processors, hosting providers) bound by confidentiality agreements
- Regulatory authorities when legally required
Rumini never sells personal or health data.
6. Consent
By using Rumini, you provide explicit, informed consent for the collection and use of your information to deliver care and related services.
You may withdraw consent at any time by contacting privacy@rumini.ca, though this may limit service availability.
7. Data Security and Retention
- End-to-end SSL/TLS encryption
- Canadian-hosted encrypted cloud storage
- Role-based staff access
- Annual PHIPA/PIPEDA audits and penetration testing
Records are retained for at least ten (10) years from the last entry, or longer as legally required.
8. Patient Rights
Patients have the right to:
- Access, review, and request correction of their PHI
- Receive copies of medical records
- Know how their data are used and shared
- File complaints with Rumini or the appropriate regulatory college
- Withdraw consent for future use (subject to statutory limitations)
9. Program Eligibility
Users must be 18 years or older, reside in Canada, and be physically present in Canada during tele-consultations.
Providing false information or impersonation may result in immediate termination and reporting to authorities.
10. Regulatory Compliance and Certification
Rumini adheres to:
- PHIPA (2004) and PIPEDA (2000)
- CPSO Virtual Care Policy (2024) and CNO Standards of Practice
- OCP Tele-Pharmacy and Minor Ailments Standards (2025)
- Health Canada Advertising and Distribution Regulations
LegitScript Certification Underway (2025): Rumini’s application is under review to validate international tele-health and tele-pharmacy compliance.
11. Platform Security
Rumini employs bank-grade encryption, Canadian data residency, multifactor authentication, and continuous intrusion monitoring. All access to PHI is logged and reviewed periodically.
12. Nature of Care
Rumini provides non-emergency virtual medical services. For urgent or life-threatening conditions, call 911.
All diagnoses and prescriptions are made by licensed clinicians. Rumini supplements—but does not replace—primary care.
13. Standard Fees and Billing
Rumini’s pricing is transparent and expressed in Canadian dollars (CAD):
- Program Fee (Weight Loss): $89 annual fee for administration, compliance, and 12-month program access.
- Clinical Renewal Fee: $40 per cycle for clinician review and prescription renewal.
- Minor Ailment Consultations: $30 – $50 per visit depending on complexity.
- Medication Costs: Determined by the dispensing pharmacy according to drug type, dosage, and supply. All prices include the pharmacy dispensing fee for clarity.
Payments are processed securely via Stripe, Square, or PayPal Business (PCI-DSS compliant). Rumini never stores raw card data.
Fees are non-OHIP and apply solely to private tele-health services.
14. Refund and Cancellation Policy
14.1 Refund Eligibility
- Program Fee ($89): Refundable within 24 hours of payment if no clinical review has begun; non-refundable thereafter.
- Renewal Fee ($40): Refundable only before the clinician initiates review.
- Minor Ailment Consultations: Refundable if cancelled ≥ 2 hours prior to appointment.
- Medication Payments: Non-refundable after dispensing or shipment (per OCP rules).
- Goodwill Refunds: Considered for technical errors or duplicate charges.
14.2 Cancellation Process
- Email admin@rumini.ca with subject “Cancellation Request – [Program Name]”.
- Include full name, date of birth, and reason for cancellation.
- Identity is verified and eligibility assessed.
- Written confirmation is issued within five business days.
- Approved refunds are processed within seven to ten business days via the original payment method.
14.3 Non-Refundable Conditions
No refunds after clinical review, prescription issuance, or pharmacy dispensing. Refunds are not provided for voluntary withdrawal post-approval or for external delivery delays.

15. Pharmacy Operations
All medications are dispensed by OCP-licensed pharmacies. Pharmacists retain independent professional authority for dispensing and counselling.
Dispensing fees are included in the total price. Once dispensed, medications cannot be returned or refunded.
Shipments are sent through tracked couriers with signature verification when required.
16. Complaints and Dispute Resolution
Complaints should be sent to admin@rumini.ca (Subject: “Complaint – [Topic]”).
Acknowledgement within 3 business days; resolution within 10.
Unresolved cases may be escalated to the CNO, CPSO, or OCP.
17. Termination of Services
Rumini may suspend or terminate services for: false information, abusive conduct, non-payment, or violation of these Terms.
Patients may cancel their participation at any time under Section 14.
18. Record Retention and Transfer
Records are stored securely for ≥ 10 years from the last entry. Copies or transfers are available upon written request and identity verification.
19. Marketing and Communication Consent
By providing contact information, you consent to receive transactional emails and SMS updates (renewals, deliveries, alerts). Marketing communications are optional and can be opted out any time.
20. Limitation of Liability
Rumini, its directors, employees, and affiliates shall not be liable for indirect, special, or consequential loss arising from service use. Clinical judgment lies with the licensed provider. Rumini is not responsible for courier delays or external system failures.
21. Intellectual Property
All logos, text, graphics, and platform code are the intellectual property of Rumini Health Inc. and protected under Canadian law. Unauthorized reproduction is prohibited.
